CITY EVENT PRODUCTION · ALMATY

Technical production for city and public events

We design a city event as one live infrastructure: main stage, distributed site audio, LED and cameras, official program, fan zones, power, safety, city services and technical crew all operate from one site event plan.

CITY EVENT VISUAL SYSTEM

Four visual systems that define a city event

A mass venue must remain clear and spectacular from multiple viewpoints: close to the stage, deep in the crowd, inside fan zones and along arrival and exit routes.

MAIN STAGE

Main stage

Scenography, concert lighting, artists, official speeches and a strong visual center for the event.

PUBLIC EVENT RHYTHM

Five operating modes of a public city site

A public event changes throughout the day. The system must remain confident during opening, official protocol, program peak and safe crowd dispersal.

01

Open the site

Entry groups, navigation, ambient audio, screens and service readiness.

02

Run official protocol

Speeches, anthem, protocol, cameras, titles and synchronized stage operation.

03

Maintain daytime program

Hosts, activities, partner zones, announcements and content changes.

04

Create the evening peak

Headline show, concert lighting, IMAG, special effects and maximum site load.

05

Close safely

Final announcements, illuminated routes, audience dispersal and zone shutdown.

CITY PRODUCTION SYSTEM

Every technical department serves scale, clarity and safety

We design not an isolated stage or screen, but the links between program, audience, city services and technical infrastructure.

01 · STAGE

Stages and structures

Main stage, additional platforms, roofs, FOH, backstage and safe operational zones.

  • wind loads
  • rigging and ballast
  • artist routes
02 · AUDIO

Distributed sound

Main PA, front fill, out fill, delay zones, public address and emergency announcements.

  • coverage map
  • noise limits
  • critical signal backup
03 · VISUAL

LED, cameras and information

Main screens, side screens, IMAG, titles, schedule and navigation content.

  • camera positions
  • content rundown
  • public information
04 · LIGHT

Stage and city lighting

Concert lighting, architectural accents, entrances, routes and working light.

  • day-to-night looks
  • safe routes
  • emergency light
05 · POWER

Power and redundancy

Generators, load distribution, cable routes, protection, fuel control and backup.

  • power schedule
  • separate technical lines
  • backup generators
06 · CONTROL

Communications and command center

Intercom, radios, contact sheets, stage managers and coordination with city services.

  • department channels
  • hold / go procedure
  • incident communication

CITY EVENT FORMATS

Architecture matched to city-event format

A celebration in a square, a park festival and a major city concert require different stage, coverage, screen, service and redundancy models.

CITY CELEBRATION

City celebration

Official and entertainment programming in a square, park or public space.

  • main stage and speeches
  • distributed PA
  • LED and cameras
  • services and safe routes

MAJOR CITY SHOW

Major city concert

High audience load, headline artists, complex stage and media broadcast.

  • concert-grade production
  • IMAG and broadcast
  • mission-critical backup
  • full technical direction

STAKEHOLDER CONTROL

One control plan connects city, organizer, stage, services and audience

Every participant has different tasks. One command center gathers statuses and decisions into a common operating model.

CITY / VENUE

City and venue

Permits, restrictions, infrastructure, access, utilities and emergency services.

PRODUCER

Organizer and producer

Program, partners, audience, timing and hold/go decisions.

STAGE / ARTISTS

Stage and artists

Riders, soundcheck, changeover, backstage and stage management.

SAFETY / SERVICES

Safety and services

Security, medical, fire service, evacuation and operational communications.

MEDIA / PUBLIC

Media and public

IMAG, broadcast, public information, press feed and visitor flows.

CITY EVENT COMMAND

A city event is managed through five connected control loops

A change in program, weather or crowd flow affects several departments at once. Stage, site, safety, media and city services therefore need one operating picture.

01

Program control

Script, stage, hosts, artists and official protocol.

02

Site control

Territory, zones, logistics, power and technical routes.

03

Public control

Entries, audience, announcements, navigation and dispersal.

04

Safety control

Security, medical, fire service, weather and incident response.

05

Media control

LED, cameras, broadcast, press feed and city content.

PRODUCTION DOCUMENTS

Documents that turn city territory into a controlled event

Before setup we lock boundaries, stages, routes, loads, program, services, signals, communications and backup decisions.

01

Master site plan

Stages, FOH, public zones, backstage, services, generators and routes.

02

Production schedule

Load-in, checks, soundcheck, program, curfew and strike.

03

Audio coverage plan

Main PA, fills, delay, public address, limits and control points.

04

Power & cable plan

Loads, generators, distribution, routes, protection and backup.

05

Communications matrix

Radio channels, intercom, contact sheets and escalation procedure.

06

Safety & weather playbook

Wind, rain, stop-work, evacuation, announcements and dispersal.

WORKFLOW

From an empty city site to a safe live event

01

Brief & site survey

Format, audience, territory, program, services and restrictions.

02

Site production design

Stages, coverage, LED, power, routes and command center.

03

Technical coordination

Riders, content, city services, vendors and backup plan.

04

FAQ

City and public event technical-production questions

What is included in city-event technical production?

Stages, audio, lighting, LED, cameras, power, structures, communications, technical crew, documentation, redundancy and coordination with venue and city services.

How is audio calculated for a large square?

We perform acoustic coverage planning, define main systems, fills and delay lines, and account for geometry, audience, wind and noise restrictions.

Can several zones operate simultaneously?

Yes. We design dedicated systems and operator positions while connecting them through one schedule, communications plan and command center.

How do you account for weather?

We prepare weather protocol, wind-load limits, equipment protection, stop-work criteria and safe-shutdown scenarios.

Can you provide multi-camera broadcast?

Yes. We provide IMAG to screens, recording, live stream, press feed and redundant signal paths.

How is power managed?

We calculate loads by zone, separate audio, light and video circuits, and provide generators, protection and backup.

How is crew communication organized?

We build a department radio matrix and intercom plan, contact sheet and escalation procedure for fast decisions.

Do you work with city services?

Yes. We coordinate technical matters with the venue, organizer, security, medical, fire service and other responsible teams.

When should planning begin?

Allow 1–2 months for a city celebration. A major stage, broadcast and complex site usually require 3 months or more.

How do I receive a preliminary quote?

Send the date, location, expected audience, number of stages and zones, program and requirements for LED, broadcast, artists and city services.
